<br />
Here I talk about the top 5:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/ap/b7/fullj.59f45c2beb45d03992400da25a64ad9a/ap-201011132223806214626.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">1. <b>New Orleans Hornets</b>: 1 word to describe this team, <u>undefeated.</u> Yup you heard me, they are the only remaining team that hasn't lost. 8-0, #1 in the western conference right now and #1 in their division. To be honest it's really not surprising since Chris Paul, arguably the best point guard in the NBA is back in his All Star form and making an early buzz for MVP. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom//img/2010/10/05/100510-NBA-Heat-Pistons-Gallery6-JW_20101005221123_600_400.JPG" /><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">2. <b>Miami Heat: </b>Standing at 6-4, they suffered their very first 2 game losing streak. First one was against the Utah Jazz. That game was "on paper" theirs to take. They had 40+ FT attempts to the Jazz's 20+ but apparently Utah Jazz Paul Millsap went NBA Jam on them and finished with a career-high 46 pts. Second loss was against the green leprechauns (Boston Celtics). The recipe to beating this team? A crazy Point Guards ( Rajon Rondo / Deron Williams / Chris Paul) and forwards to compliment the crazy PG's. For sure though that we know the Miami Heat will not lose in a blow out. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://www2.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Chicago+Bulls+v+Boston+Celtics+Game+2+xS8CTS7Q2EVl.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">3. <b>Boston Celtics</b>: If the Miami Heat got their "Big 3", The Boston Celtics got their "Big 4". Rajon Rondo is improving, Kevin Garnett is 100% not to mention he's still being the KG that we all love, Paul Pierce doing his thing, flopping and tackling people. Ray Allen still got the sexiest jumper in the league and an improved bench that consists of Jermaine O'Neil and Shaquille O'Neil. So I can't really doubt why they're 8-2 as of week 3. Just don't make Rondo take ridiculous clutch 3's</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i54.tinypic.com/xmixe0.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">4. <b>Los Angeles Lakers</b>: Well the defending champs is 4th on Hollingers power rankings. They dropped 2 spots from last week after dropping 2 straight games. Theres not much to say besides their defense sucks these past few games. Offense may not be a problem but defensively, the defending champs are looking like the Golden State Warriors. Although, they are still the defending champs so it would be overreaction from fans to be all sensitive about this 2 straight loses.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://snsimages.tribune.com/media/photo/2010-11/57498061.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">5. <b>Denver Nuggets</b>: Even with the "Melo Drama" looming around, the Denver Nuggets still is a good team believe or not. Carmelo Anthony is still playing like an all star despite his uncertain future with the team. As good as they are, they got torched for 54 3rd quarter points by the Indiana Pacers who went 20-21 FG</div><br />
</div></div></div></div></div>Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011669093416277401.post-31885211981107724422010-11-09T12:49:00.000-08:002010-11-09T14:15:13.169-08:00My take on Hollingers Power Rankings week 2<a href="http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings">Hollingers power rankings</a> <br />
<br />
Top 4 teams:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://www.gx-world.com/assets/images/hotpicks/nbacheerleaders/MiamiHeat.jpg" /> </div><br />
1. <b>Miami Heat</b>: Heat is apparently #1 despite the disappearance of Chris Bosh, and the injured Mike Miller. It's okay though, I heard through a grape vine that James Jones will save the day. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://www.gx-world.com/assets/images/hotpicks/nbacheerleaders/LAlakers.jpg" /></div><br />
2. <b>Los Angeles Lakers</b>: Laker fans are probably rioting, sending hate mails and death threats to hollinger right now. So how about them Clippers?<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i54.tinypic.com/15860hv.jpg" /></div><br />
3. <b>Orlando Magic</b>: Every game, Stan Van Gundy spins his wheel of fortune to get his starting 5 and his rotation players for the game. Is it exciting? YES! We get to see everybody play, unless your name is Daniel Orton... poor fella<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://www.nba.com/media/hornets/NOLAbees.jpg" /></div><br />
4. <b>New Orlean Hornets</b>: Them Hornets are more deserving to get #1 than the Miami Heat. I mean Chris Paul is suppose to be throwing away games because of off season unhappiness right? RIGHT?! Nope, apparently they have yet to lose. Playing 3 away games (Spurs, Bucks, Rockets) and beating Miami Heat in style using Okafor(LOL) as the main offensive weapon. Not to mention they don't have a star studded cast besides Chris Paul and David West. Who would've known Marco Bellineli can play like he's playing now. Trevor Ariza still tries to make his own shot even though we all know that's not his game. Okafor is well, he's being Okafor besides that one heat game where he scored 26 pts and grabbed 13 rebounds, and not to mention he went 12-13 FG.Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011669093416277401.post-75161863567882293852010-10-08T16:18:00.000-07:002010-10-08T16:18:09.317-07:00Video: Golden State: Where the Dougie happens.Rookie hazing for the warrios? It was said to be that referee's will now be more strict when players plead their case regarding fouls and such. The changes are as follows:<br />
<br />
<ul><li> Players making aggressive gestures, such as air punches, anywhere on the court.<br />
</li>
<li> Demonstrative disagreement, such as when a player incredulously raises his hands, or smacks his own arm to demonstrate how he was fouled.<br />
</li>
<li> Running directly at an official to complain about a call.<br />
</li>
<li> Excessive inquiries about a call, even in a civilized tone.<br />
</li>
</ul><div>There are others but thats basically the gist of it. The pre-season game between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors basically shows how strict ref's can be now. Reggie Evans and Grant Hill were ejected from the game during the 3rd quarter because of a tap on the ass.<br />
<br />
</div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><object height="276" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/xf3oqs?additionalInfos=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/xf3oqs?additionalInfos=0" width="480" height="276" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xf3oqs_reggie-and-grant-ejected-oct-6-2010_sport">Reggie and Grant Ejected Oct 6 2010.mpg</a></b></div><i><br />
</i><br />
Seriously? Thats what athletes do, it was a friendly athlete tap on the ass, its basically saying "Oh hey it's cool" . Apparently the referee did not take it that way and ejected the 2 players out of the game. This is just really ridiculous and too strict. I mean come on, the guys were just showing sportsmanship, it's not like they were about to go Bruce Lee on each other. The next thing you know, players on the court aren't even allowed to talk to each other or worse, they can't even look each other in the eye.<br />
<br />
Come on ref's it's the pre-season let the guys have a little fun, if you're going to throw somebody out of game it should be at least be something as indecent as <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cv1cBN8M-9I">this</a> and not some normal pat on the butt<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">Very very informative video. Dwight Howard had a 1 week session with The Dream Hakeem Olajuwon during the offseason.. What do I expect from this? Well a more polished post game from Dwight. More finesse and less usage of strength. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">When <a href="http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/09/27/magic-gm-orlandos-depth-will-top-miamis-star-power/">Stan Van Gundy said</a> "ESPN is like 'All (Miami) Heat, all the time'", he wasn't kidding. ESPN will roll out an in depth editorial coverage called <a href="http://www.espnmediazone3.com/us/2010/10/espn-com-to-launch-%E2%80%9Cthe-heat-index%E2%80%9D-oct-11/">"The Heat Index"</a>.<br />
<br />
As an Orlando Magic fan, this makes me REALLY bitter. Why doesn't ESPN have this kind of coverage for other teams? Lakers have been in the finals 3 times out of 3 seasons winning 2 of them, Orlando is a force to be reckoned with in the east not to mention the aged Boston Celtics.<br />
<br />
Even with all this bitterness, ESPN runs a business and in all fairness the Miami Heat is the hottest piece of news in the NBA at the moment with the 3 of the Top 10 players playing for the same team. People will read it, people will share the story and for ESPN? Well this is what they do and this is what ESPN is for so stop hating. </div><br />
</div>Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011669093416277401.post-15864238771857926362010-10-02T15:06:00.000-07:002010-10-02T15:06:08.803-07:00Look who finally got his own skittles machineThe Candy man Lamar Odom finally gets his own Skittles Vending machine.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://web18.twitpic.com/img/171481901-1500e82af8290e40212549fee8946aa7.4ca7ab60-scaled.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">The man eats <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73Du1HvTo3s&feature=related">candy for breakfast</a>, plays well if he eats candy, the man has an obsession with candy. If you were to ask me, I'd say every time he goes to the restroom he PROBABLY shits rainbow. </div><br />

Thats not what Dwight thinksAccording to an <a href="http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_magic/2010/09/video-jj-redick-addresses-his-chances-in-an-all-white-dunk-contest.html">interview</a> with JJ Redick that apparently Dwight Howard says that our boy JJ is a TOP 3 white guy dunker.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
You know what? I wouldn't know. Not once have I seen JJ dunk during an NBA game and the closest dunk picture I could find is a screen cap of him dunking during his college days.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/18/92326623_e465070421.jpg" /><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">The guy is 6'4 with a 6'2 wing span. thats a -2 inches not to mention he doesn't have a crazy vertical jump either. Just looking at the picture, he seems like he's having a hard time dunking that ball. It's alright, at least theres proof that he CAN dunk, it's better than most people (like me) whose only 5'8 and most likely have a negative wingspan and has a whopping 2-3 inch vertical leap.<br />

If he had a chance, he'd probably yell at your grandma too. So whats wrong in yelling during Media Day? Nothing, because Rajon Rondo doesn't think anything is wrong.... or so I would think<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">Yeah thats Tracy McGrady, I hope despite his injury riddled career you still remember the guy? This dude used to be a 2x scoring champion in 03' and '04, a 7x NBA all star. He used to be great and well I still think he is. Remember when he scored 13 pts in 33 seconds? Yeah we all know thats a classic. If you haven't seen it yet then well enjoy.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

Lets give a short recap:<br />
<br />

Which by the way brings me to this Classic Carmelo Anthony video<br />

<br />
If you've watched the 2010 NBA playoffs, then I am pretty sure you've got your share of laughs. Oh hey carmelo instead of asking for a trade to the <a href="http://twitter.com/Chris_Broussard/statuses/25043112954">Knicks</a> or Bulls why not ask for a trade in utah? I mean they were playing this commercial during the 2010 playoffs against Utah IN Utah home.<br />
<br />
Anyways I now leave you with a spoof of the commercial starring NBA's comedic bigman Kyrylo Fesenko. (you're not the only one who is special carmelo.)<br />

Actually okay maybe not, that would only apply to most people and not all. Apparently I can't remember my first dates because it probably was something boring as hell like movies -> dinner -> home. I'm not exactly the most exciting person out you'll meet you know. <div><br /></div><div>Anyways enough about me, lets talk about our favorite person to talk about. Who is it? Well heres a clue, about a month ago he was the most loved NBA player and in an instant he became the most hated player to this day and age. Especially those folks in cleveland, fans <a href="http://mypict.me/show.php?id=8ZRtL">burning his jersey</a> and <a href="http://static02.mediaite.com/geekosystem/uploads/2010/07/dan-gilbert-letter.gif">Dan Gilberts hilarious comic sans of rage letter</a>. Yes it is none other than LeBron James. </div><div><br /></div><div>I recently came across this <a href="http://www.harpersbazaar.com/print-this/savannah-brinson-lebron-james-0910?page=all">article</a> about his Long time girlfriend Savannah Brinson, the article really didn't interest me at all. I mean come on, it's about LBJ's long time GF talking about how she doesn't like LBJ playing in miami. So as lazy as I am, I skimmed through the article and something apparently caught my attention... Yep you guessed it, it's a paragraph about their first date. </div><div><br /></div><div>Now at this moment, my twitter have been updating like crazy because of this. Apparently there are some that are against or rather doesn't agree on the place they went to for their first date. Apparently LBJ brought her long time GF to Outback Steakhouse. </div><div><br /></div><div>Now now now, before anybody says anything, you have to think that this was about 10 years ago. Lebron James at the time was not making millions, he was prolly around the age of 16-17 years old. The guy probably didn't even have enough money to buy condoms, and apparently in my opinion Outback has one of those crazy deal coupons that is most likely unbeatable. If you're a teen who probably don't have money to spend for dates then yes outback would be the way to go. </div><div><br /></div><div>Yeah sure there are others who have deals like lets say, Applebees (disgusting), Chilis, Olive Garden etc but come on, you got to know that they also lived in Akron Ohio. So yes, I give you LBJ props for having a good first date. I still don't like you though lol</div><div><br /></div><div>Now if anybody else reading this, I leave you with a question, If you were a teenager with no money where would your first date would be? My answer to that? Hell you'd even lucky to even score a Mc Donalds Cheeseburger from me, it's 7-11 for you my dear. </div><div><br /></div><div>I keed you :)........ maybe</div>Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011669093416277401.post-80990766610225604302010-08-06T11:56:00.000-07:002010-08-06T12:09:09.969-07:00Add one more to Rileys Angels.<div style="text-align: center;"><object width="500" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/efkPqtDheO0&hl=en_US&fs=1?rel=0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/efkPqtDheO0&hl=en_US&fs=1?rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="385"></embed></object><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Miami Heats Tripod of power? Yes it's the much anticipated release date of the ever so popular Starcraft II. WAIT WHAT? Yeah you heard me, I'm not lying to you. After nearly over 10 years of waiting (Well I have been waiting since 1998) they finally made the sequel to the game that most likely changed how RTS games are played. The game is so big that Koreans decided to make a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarCraft_professional_competition">league</a> for it and televise it online. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I for one was one of those excited people who was waiting for it to the point where I mistakingly thought June 27 2010 was July 27 2010. Heres a little dialouge between me and the best buy employee: Me as me and BBE as Best Buy Employee</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Me: *see's the pre-order paper* *asks BBE* "Hey so do you guys have any stock for Starcraft II at the moment?"</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">BB Employee: "You know what the game is really popular, lemme check in the back"</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Me: "yeah it is, I'm pretty excited about it"</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">-saw the release date- </div><div style="text-align: left;">-thinks-</div><div style="text-align: left;">-Looks at my phone calendar-</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Me: *thinking* "Oh its only June, wow I feel stupid"</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">-Plays it off and walk away slowly to the PS3 Section- </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Needless to say, I felt really stupid. I bet the Best Buy Employee felt the same way for actually going to the back and checking if they have stock.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Now, now, now that I showed you how stupid I felt, theres an article I saw on my facebook feed (<a href="http://www.prweb.com/releases/Starcraft-2/Asian-Men-Dating/prweb4292314.htm">Link</a> c/o joe) about this asian dating guru saying that, "you should steer clear away from SC II). His reason? It destroys your social life. You know honestly, thats pretty obvious. I mean look at all the socially deprived people who play World of Warcraft (I was one at one point, I swear it was like crack). It really depends on a person whether they will let the video game take over their life. It's really not the games fault, I mean if you have a little bit of common sense you'll eventually realize that "Oh hey I should go out and mingle, maybe I'll get laid.". Sorry to say but Starcraft won't get you laid unless you're a pro-gamer from korea, okay I don't have a source for that but thats what it seems like. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">So yes, I totally disagree with the whole "You should spend your 60 dollars on a date or a social life" BS. Because well, 60 bucks really don't get you much anyways. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">P.S.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I thought Larissa Riquelme is hot. I'd spend 60 bucks on that pair of Paraguay piece of ass. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://i25.tinypic.com/2gxfmoi.jpg" /><br /></div>Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011669093416277401.post-18886402245165001172010-07-21T11:06:00.000-07:002010-07-21T17:37:00.518-07:00Asian Sensation Jeremy Lin<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://imgs.sfgate.com/c/pictures/2008/12/15/sp-asian16_phlin_0499471792.jpg" /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Okay maybe it's too early to call <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=32762">Jeremy Lin</a> an "Asian Sensation" but apparently there has been some buzz about him signing a contract with the <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/teams/gsw">Golden State Warriors</a>. I've never really seen this kid play but seeing his <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=32762">stats</a> during his years at Harvard, this kid knows how to ball. During his last year in Harvard he shot over 50% and 34% at the 3 ball area along with 16.4 PPG, 4.4 Rebounds, 4.4 Assist, 2.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. Even though his Summer League stats aren't as close as when he played in college thats pretty much expected so I don't really wanna put that down on him. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Now there are some talks out there in the blogosphere that it could be that because of his racial background that he was being scouted by the LA Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks. Knowing that LA, GSW and Dallas (never been to dallas so not sure about this one) has a big asian fanbase, I really believe that it's not because of his race why these three teams were interested in wanted to sign him. The kid got game and I'm sure scouts have seen that this kid got potential to be in the pros. Sure his <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvkXmMcGfLo">match up</a> with John Wall (most likely) boosted his popularity, his athleticism, his defense, the way he attacks the basket played a role in why these 3 teams wanted him. All in all I'm glad that this undrafted kid is given a shot at the pros and I will definitely be watching. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Now if he were to sign with GSW what could he bring to the backcourt of the warriors? Well one thing is that GSW needs the depth. With C.J. Watson signing with chicago GSW is definitely lacking that backup for their 2 backcourt stars Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry. He would also would be a good fit in Don Nelsons run and gun offense. As far as I saw during his Summer League highlights is that he loves to run that ball. Penetrating to the offense, run and pass to the open man, etc... </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">PS</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">No he is not going to be a Sun Yue 2.0, one thing for sure is that Jeremy Lin speaks english better than him lmao</div>Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011669093416277401.post-82156085957266035382010-07-20T10:55:00.000-07:002010-07-20T12:02:10.948-07:00Tracy Mc Gravy to the clips?<div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2008/0310/nba_g_carte_mcgrady_580.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I know this is a bit late of a post but I was in Las Vegas during the time this was <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/news/story?id=5385201">news</a>. The LA Clippers are showing a bit of interest to Tracy McGrady. Yes the injury prone T-Mac that most of us all loved. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I'm sure if he does sign with the clippers A LOT of people will think it's a bad move. To me I think it's a great idea as long as he does not sign for a long term contract. 1-2 years and a little less than MLE should be fine for this 7 time all star. What could he bring to the clippers? Versatility, star quality player for cheap (when healthy) and a guy whose not scared to take over a game if things go wrong for the clippers. Sure he's not the same guy that he used to be (like his cousin vince carter) but if clips do get him for cheap it'll definitely be a low risk high reward guy. Think of it as playing <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pai_gow_poker">Paigow Poker</a> where most of the time you either push and not lose much besides the fortune. Okay maybe that was a bad analogy. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Picture Credits: ESPN</div>Ahmonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04654944640126386156noreply@blogger.com0
