Everybody wants to be a Laker

So now that the Laker have won back to back championship under the Pau and Kobe Regime, seems like everybody now wants to be a laker. According to sources/rumors Tracy McGrady the perennial all star who could've been one of the leagues top athletes (if not injured) wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. To be honest I could really careless if he does play for the lakers. Good for the lakers, T-Mac despite being injured all the time still has a lil bit of game in him (I mean he was regarded as one of the top players back in the days) and can definitely spark quality minutes off the bench.

Now on the other hand Chris Bosh, being one of the top 5 free agents in the market never really said anything direct (he did give a list of 5 teams you know) that he would like to sign with the lakers but hey, seeing him in laker games does raise suspicions of him wanting to play for LA that and I believe this LA team can run for at least 1 more title because well Phil Jackson do win his championships in batches of 3.

So now lets say all that pans out and T-Mac(MLE/Paycut) and Chris Bosh(Sign and Trade for Andrew Bynum) plays for LA, wont this remind you of that star studded Laker Roster of 2003-2004? You know that team that lost in the NBA Finals against the Detroit Pistons, yeah that team. The team that sported:

Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, Gary Payton an all star cast which lost to detroit 4-1. I just think that too much "stars" can't always be something good for a team, then again that loss against detroit phil already had his three peat so this time around it might be different.

  1. I think Phil missed his second three-peat for the Lakers since the Celtics won in 2008. He could've made 2008-2009-2010 but I guess he's hoping for 2009-2010-2011...
