Free Agency and other.... pausee

July 1 2010.. To normal people, July 1 2010 would mean its a thursday, To the Japanese it means Ayumi Hamasaki's song "July 1st", In canada it would mean "Canada Day" but to NBA teams, NBA players, NBA fans and all them wacky media it would mean the most hyped, craziest, wackiest Free Agency.

The end.... Lol just kidding

Hey did you know Megan Fox got married? Yeah I know right..

Oh yeah right Free Agency, ANYWAYS I'm really not going to talk about "why did this" and "why did he decided to opt out of his contract" or "this team needs to pick up "insert appropriate FA here"" instead I am going to make uneducated guesses on where these marquee FA's will end up with.

Lets list the teams that actually have money to spend for Free Agency. (because i am lazy I'm not going to list on how much each team has. Nor am I going to list all the teams that have money lol just the guys who can afford at least 1 Max Contract)

- Miami Heat
- Chicago Bulls
- New Jersey Nets
- New York Knicks
- LA Clippers
- Elin Woods (Oh okay maybe not but she did get 750m from the divorce. Thats enough to sign LBJ, Bosh, Wade, Joe Johnson)

Now the list of notable (in my opinion, I really don't want to go all out on this.) FA

- LeBron James
- Chris Bosh
- Dwayne Wade
- Joe Johnson
- Paul Pierce (Opted out of his contract)
- Dirk Nowitzki (Opted out of his contract)
- Amar'e Stoudamire (Opted out of his contract)
- Ray Allen
- David Lee
- Carlos Boozer
- Rudy Gay

Lebron James

Lets start with the guy whose like the Microsoft of the NBA, Lebron James. I'm not going to make any educated guesses but I'm going to say come July 1 he'll say "Oh Just kidding! I'm resigning with Cleveland Ha ha ha GOTCHA!"

Final Verdict: Chicago Bulls

Chris Bosh

Ahh Chris Bosh, the guy who said he don't want to be a "SideKick" but apparently rumor has it that he'll play with D-Wade on the Heat. Good Job Robin.

Final Verdict - Miami Heat

Dwayne Wade

Dwayne Wade, the man without teammates unfortunately. We already know he's not going anywhere but we also know that next season he's probably going to have new teammates since well Miami shredded everybody besides Michael Beasely (because nobody wants him).

Final Verdict: Miami Heat

Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, he played horrible during the 2010 NBA playoffs, dissed the ATL Hawks fans, and got boo'ed AND YET Atlanta Hawks wants to give him a 6 year Max deal. The Hawks are as crazy as those Wacky Inflatable arm flailing tube man. I laugh lol

Final Verdict - You be retarded if you don't take the 6 year max deal offer. Atlanta Hawks

Paul Pierce

This fool, I hate this guy, I hate this guy to the core. This fucker is such a drama queen. Flops as much as a Fish (no not Derek Fisher, okay maybe Derek Fisher). I was pretty surprised that he opted out of his contract but I did read something about Danny Ainge saying that he might not come back next season. Then again Doc Rivers did say that he was coming back next season to coach so that might play a part in Pierce coming back to the Celtics.

Final Verdict - Boston Celtics

Dirk Nowitzki

Dirk Nowitzki, like Paul Pierce, this guy has been in one team since the start of his career. I can't say much about the guy besides he shoots A LOT better when he is guarded.

Final Verdict - Mark Cuban will cough up the money on whatever demands he wants. 6 Playstations in 6 different rooms in a mansion as big as Disneyland, who cares Cuban will definitely get whatever he wants. He stays as Dallas Maverick

Amar'e Stoudamire

This guy is Amar'e Stoudamire, the guy who dazes around during defensive plays. To be honest I can't see this guy playing with anybody besides Steve Nash.

Final Verdict - He pulls a surprise and signs with Chicago Bulls

Ray Allen

Ray Allen aka Jesus ShuttlesWorth. This guy has a very very lethal jumper. Like I said on my first post, you cannot leave this guy open. This guy broke the record for number of made 3 ball in a finals game with 8. I don't know what else to say about this guy besides, if his jump shot was a chick, I would definitely hit it... I'd hit it hard.

Final Verdict - With Doc Rivers back, he will sign with the Boston Celtics. I would of said Miami Heat at first but Doc Rivers coming back just changes all that.

David Lee

David Lee, I really can't say much about this guy. I don't really watch New York Knicks game but yes I do know he pretty good. lol

Final Verdict - I really want to see him in Blue and Orange. No not the New York Knicks but the Oklahoma City Thunder

Carlos Boozer

Carlos Boozer, the guy who has more wrinkles on his head than the edge of your elbow lol. I don't follow him much but I know that he has his days when he becomes a walking double double.

Final Verdict - Brooklyn/New Jersey Nets

Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay, a scoring wingman. Young but still has a lot to learn. Uh so yeah, I don't watch a lot of Memphis games...

Final Verdict - one word: KAAAAAHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN... By the way if he goes to Minnesota that would mean Rudy Gay, Kevin Love, Ramon Session trio.

Anyways yeah thats my guesses on where they will end up. None of this I gave any deep thought and it was purely on guesses lol. Although I do know that I probably will get AT LEAST 1 right because I'm cool like that

I get excited over..

Twitter... Ah yes it's twitter, that lil social networking giant that rivals Facebook, Myspace and those other social networking website that's not named Facebook or myspace. It's that lil giant where Celebrities, Athletes and hell even politicians use.

I used to think twitter was pretty lame, yes I was the one of those who would swear never to have a twitter but apparently it became like a drug where I have to tweet about the latest stuff that goes on in the twitter world. Although 1 particular reasons why I joined twitter is because of the NBA.

A lot of NBA players uses twitter(heres a list via The No Look Pass most use them as a way to post their blogs, tell what they're doing, and most of all connect with their fans. Which by the way brings me to my happiness.

Yes I do get excited over random replies from these athletes. It's probably the closest we can get to talking to them. Here are some of the replies I've got from these guys that I follow

"Charles Oakley will come to your house and beat you up unless you stop talking about Free Agency"

So out of bored I replied to Charles by saying

"Free Agency.... #PleaseDontHurtMe"

and he replies "HA I'm cool" - Yes its a short reply but hey I dig it lol.

Another one was, well from JJ Redick.

I really don't remember greeting him on his birthday but I do remember saying:

"It's JJ Redicks birthday and @ladyballers haven't greeted him."

Oh and well JJ Redick said "Thank you" anyway.

Last but not least: (This made me laugh so hard)

Little background story - I have a hard time growing facial hair. Apparently his teammate James Harden have an epic beard so it hit me to ask:

"have you ever thought of growing a beard like james harden?" - his answer: "been trying since birth".

No really it's alright KD, I've been trying since birth too just that I probably have it worse than you because I grow mine in strands...

So yes, if you're an NBA fan at least give twitter a try, you might enjoy it not just because of the athletes but also because of random play by play twitter comments thats pretty hilarious.

I leave you now with probably the most funniest guy on twitter:

"In game two of finals I had to take a shit in the fourth quarter But I didn't know how to tell Phil Jackson"

Steering away from NBA Free Agency frenzy

So I just realized that this blog was SUPPOSE to be about randomness and not just about the NBA. Apparently that was not the case, my first 6 post was about the NBA (I did make the blog in the middle of the NBA Finals).

Though with all these NBA Off season frenzy there's just way too much to take in at the moment. Although to those of you really following ALL of it here's an article by Ken Berger (heh... berger) talking about a "few" speculations about where will these NBA FA's going to end up.

Here are others whose made their share of speculation:
- ProBasketBallTalk: Here

There are others but I'll just add on to it next time

Now time to Switch gears,

Korea Air and Starcraft 2 "Wings of Liberty"

Yes it's that RTS (Real Time Strategy) game that basically changed how RTS games are played. It's that game that turned teenagers "Night life" into a "Sorry guys I can't go clubbing, I need to practice my bisu build".

To all that didn't know, apparently Starcraft became a sport in Korea where the "Pro" Players would duke it out in their respective leagues MSL, OSL, etc... It's like the World Cup without the vuvuzelas!

Now to Commemorate the release of SC II apparently Korean Airlines painted 2 of their planes with the starcraft logo and one of the Main Characters Jim Raynor.

So now the question would be, did Korean Air pay Blizzard to have them advertise SC II on their plane so that they can attract the younger group of Teens to ride their plane or did Blizzard pay Korean Air to advertise on their plane to gain more popularity to an already popular game.

In Other news, no sir I have not pre-ordered my copy yet. lol

Orlando magic tittle-tattle.

So there have been numerous trade rumors but 2 of them caught my attention, 1 - A potential trade / swap of 2 all star players and 2 - A trade deal that could send the best PG in the league to orlando

Rumor #1

Yes it's the Vince "I died in 2001" Carter and "Agent 0" Gilbert "Injury/Issue plagued" Arenas rumor trade. So let me ask you this, which player would you prefer if this rumor were to happen? Would you rather have a Vince Carter who chokes during crunch time, a Carter who (I would think) lost his "ooomph", a Carter who isn't as reliable as he used to be or would you rather have Gilbert Arenas who was injury plagued for 2-3 seasons and when he actually got back to playing he got suspended for the rest of the season.

I'll be totally honest with you, if this WERE to happen I'd take Arenas over VC. I'm totally ignoring the fact that yes if this does happen Orlando would owe Arenas around 60mil over the next 3 years. I'm not that much of a hardcore fan to follow how much they get paid and stuff like that so I'm making my decision on whose the more reliable out of the 2.

So lets see, for one thing is that Arenas is well significantly younger than VC. From what I've seen from VC is that he just doesn't play like he used to. He used to be the type of players who would try and get to the line. The VC we see now is slow, settles for too much jumpers and well, the dynamic Vince Carter we all knew at one time has died.

On the other hand we have Gilbert Arenas, an explosive(if healthy) combo guard. The guy is basically a hybrid PG leaning more towards a scoring PG. He can pass, make shots for others, find open players. I believe he could really work well with SVG's 4 out 1 in offensive system. I'm really not going to go in depth with Gilbert since well to be honest I really haven't seen him play as much as the others but all I can say is that, given that Arenas is not injured, he can be a great compliment for Dwight Howard, lil meer, and the rest of the Orlando Magic.

Yes it's that Chris Paul rumor again, and yes apparently there was some chit chat going around the league about Otis Smith trying to make a deal with NOH to grab (arguably) the best Point Guard in the league.

Now if this happens, I might end up being one of the most happiest guy in the world despite losing Lil meer (who cares about Vince I wanted him gone anyway). What could Chris Paul bring to the Orlando Magic? A bunch of CP3 - D12 alley-oops, a championship (maybe), and just a whole lot of Chris Paul greatness. I mean we are talking about Chris Paul here! Young, Athletic, Great Defender, Great Passer, a possible future HOF (yes I called it). If you don't know who Chris Paul is, you're missing out. Here watch this highlight video of him. Chris Paul Career Highlights

Then again it's all rumor and according to VP of the Hornets Hugh Weber in this radio show (via LSUhornet17) that Chris Paul is NOT up for trade and the Hornets are building around him. I mean I wouldn't be surprised though, even with the emergence of their rookie Darren Collison (who btw is another PG who filled in for the injured CP3) you cannot just trade away your franchise player. As much as I would want him to play for Orlando this rumor is coming true is like me getting drafted as the first pick in next years draft class.

Everybody wants to be a Laker

So now that the Laker have won back to back championship under the Pau and Kobe Regime, seems like everybody now wants to be a laker. According to sources/rumors Tracy McGrady the perennial all star who could've been one of the leagues top athletes (if not injured) wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. To be honest I could really careless if he does play for the lakers. Good for the lakers, T-Mac despite being injured all the time still has a lil bit of game in him (I mean he was regarded as one of the top players back in the days) and can definitely spark quality minutes off the bench.

Now on the other hand Chris Bosh, being one of the top 5 free agents in the market never really said anything direct (he did give a list of 5 teams you know) that he would like to sign with the lakers but hey, seeing him in laker games does raise suspicions of him wanting to play for LA that and I believe this LA team can run for at least 1 more title because well Phil Jackson do win his championships in batches of 3.

So now lets say all that pans out and T-Mac(MLE/Paycut) and Chris Bosh(Sign and Trade for Andrew Bynum) plays for LA, wont this remind you of that star studded Laker Roster of 2003-2004? You know that team that lost in the NBA Finals against the Detroit Pistons, yeah that team. The team that sported:

Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, Gary Payton an all star cast which lost to detroit 4-1. I just think that too much "stars" can't always be something good for a team, then again that loss against detroit phil already had his three peat so this time around it might be different.

Philly 76ers boo boo

2010 NBA Draft,

There have been numerous mock drafts out on the net but we all know that Washington Wizards (who won the draft lottery) is going to pick John Wall as their No. 1 pick. On the other hand we weren't sure what Philadelphia 76ers pick is. Okay maybe we did know, but a few days ago the 76ers and Sacramento Kings had a trade deal which sent Samuel Dalembert to the Kings for Spencer Hawes and Andres Noicini which made us think, are they going to drop Evan Turner for DeMarcus Cousins or Derrick Favors or maybe even Greg Monroe. Apparently that was not the case, someone in philly screwed up and showed nearly everybody who the 76ers is picking. Heres the screen cap of the suppose splash page (before it was taken down) of the Philadelphia 76ers:

So yes, can we assume now that 76ers will be choosing Evan Turner(wasn't that the guess anyway?) as their pick or is this some kind of conspiracy to confuse people on who are they drafting only time will tell.

CountDown to Draft day: 3 days and lots of minutes lol

So the NBA Season is over and...

The Lakers have won back to back championship, it may not be the most prettiest but they got the job done. There have been doubts on whether they could make it back to the finals and actually win it. Mike Bresnahan of LA Times points out what problems the Lakers had during their title run. Now the question is, will the Lakers repeat again next year for a 3peat or will they flop first, accumulate doubters then prove the doubters wrong, only time will tell.

Anyways for your viewing pleasure heres Ron Artest with a Top Hat and a Cigar:

Big Baby D-D-D-Avisss

If he's not getting yelled at by Kevin Garnett, or pushing kids, he doin great things for the Boston Celtics. By great things I mean throwing a dagger at orlando, and putting up numbers when needed.

He definitely brings energy to this aging celtic team, hustles for the ball when needed (despite falling time and time again) and just funny to watch especially when he does something unexpected and starts showing his big baby face

For the Celtics to win game 7 he would need to step up and play like he did in game 4. Oh and yes Kendrink Perkings definitely agrees with me. In other news, this is just too hilarious

He got game 2. Jesus Shuttlesworth revival.

Ray Allen 1, Lakers... 1 I guess (I would say 1-0 but Ray-Ray was in foul trouble during game 1). After a pretty horrible start to the NBA Finals, Ray "Jesus Shuttlesworth" Allen retaliated with 32 points going 8-11 3's setting an NBA Finals record for most 3 ball made passing Kenny "The Jet" Smith and Scottie Pippen. He all reminded us that he (most likely) probably have the prettiest jump shot in the history of pro basketball.

I mean just look at his form! If his jump shot were a girl I'd definitely hit it unless you're the Lakers then you'd hate him like in this picture:

Yes the Lakers should definitely hate him, but most of all the Lakers should hate themselves for leaving ray-ray open. That's one thing YOU CANNOT do with Ray Allen. If Ray-ray comes of a screen somebody needs to switch and put a hand up on Ray Allens face. You can live with KG taking those long 2's (he hasn't been making those anyways), you can live with Big Baby Davis driving to the hoop but you definitely will die if you keep Ray Allen open like they did in game 2.

Oh well maybe Phil got some idea on who will guard Ray Allen during those off screen 3 ball. Lets just hope nobody in the Lakers would mistake Basketball for American Football

Oh Btw this picture is hilarious, I like how everybody looked really worried while Derek Fisher is shooting that 3 Ha ha ha
