Hollingers NBA power rankings week 3

Another week, another Hollingers NBA power rankings.

Here I talk about the top 5:

1. New Orleans Hornets: 1 word to describe this team, undefeated. Yup you heard me, they are the only remaining team that hasn't lost. 8-0, #1 in the western conference right now and #1 in their division. To be honest it's really not surprising since Chris Paul, arguably the best point guard in the NBA is back in his All Star form and making an early buzz for MVP.

2. Miami Heat: Standing at 6-4, they suffered their very first 2 game losing streak. First one was against the Utah Jazz. That game was "on paper" theirs to take. They had 40+ FT attempts to the Jazz's 20+ but apparently Utah Jazz Paul Millsap went NBA Jam on them and finished with a career-high 46 pts. Second loss was against the green leprechauns (Boston Celtics). The recipe to beating this team? A crazy Point Guards ( Rajon Rondo / Deron Williams / Chris Paul) and forwards to compliment the crazy PG's. For sure though that we know the Miami Heat will not lose in a blow out.

3. Boston Celtics: If the Miami Heat got their "Big 3", The Boston Celtics got their "Big 4". Rajon Rondo is improving, Kevin Garnett is 100% not to mention he's still being the KG that we all love, Paul Pierce doing his thing, flopping and tackling people. Ray Allen still got the sexiest jumper in the league and an improved bench that consists of Jermaine O'Neil and Shaquille O'Neil. So I can't really doubt why they're 8-2 as of week 3. Just don't make Rondo take ridiculous clutch 3's

4. Los Angeles Lakers: Well the defending champs is 4th on Hollingers power rankings. They dropped 2 spots from last week after dropping 2 straight games. Theres not much to say besides their defense sucks these past few games. Offense may not be a problem but defensively, the defending champs are looking like the Golden State Warriors. Although, they are still the defending champs so it would be overreaction from fans to be all sensitive about this 2 straight loses.

5. Denver Nuggets: Even with the "Melo Drama" looming around, the Denver Nuggets still is a good team believe or not. Carmelo Anthony is still playing like an all star despite his uncertain future with the team. As good as they are, they got torched for 54 3rd quarter points by the Indiana Pacers who went 20-21 FG

My take on Hollingers Power Rankings week 2

Hollingers power rankings

Top 4 teams:

1. Miami Heat: Heat is apparently #1 despite the disappearance of Chris Bosh, and the injured Mike Miller. It's okay though, I heard through a grape vine that James Jones will save the day.

2. Los Angeles Lakers: Laker fans are probably rioting, sending hate mails and death threats to hollinger right now. So how about them Clippers?

3. Orlando Magic: Every game, Stan Van Gundy spins his wheel of fortune to get his starting 5 and his rotation players for the game. Is it exciting? YES! We get to see everybody play, unless your name is Daniel Orton... poor fella

4. New Orlean Hornets: Them Hornets are more deserving to get #1 than the Miami Heat. I mean Chris Paul is suppose to be throwing away games because of off season unhappiness right? RIGHT?! Nope, apparently they have yet to lose. Playing 3 away games (Spurs, Bucks, Rockets) and beating Miami Heat in style using Okafor(LOL) as the main offensive weapon. Not to mention they don't have a star studded cast besides Chris Paul and David West. Who would've known Marco Bellineli can play like he's playing now. Trevor Ariza still tries to make his own shot even though we all know that's not his game. Okafor is well, he's being Okafor besides that one heat game where he scored 26 pts and grabbed 13 rebounds, and not to mention he went 12-13 FG.

NBA: Where friendly tap on the butt can go wrong

Recently there was a change in the rules of giving technical fouls. It was said to be that referee's will now be more strict when players plead their case regarding fouls and such. The changes are as follows:

  • Players making aggressive gestures, such as air punches, anywhere on the court.
  • Demonstrative disagreement, such as when a player incredulously raises his hands, or smacks his own arm to demonstrate how he was fouled.
  • Running directly at an official to complain about a call.
  • Excessive inquiries about a call, even in a civilized tone.
There are others but thats basically the gist of it. The pre-season game between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors basically shows how strict ref's can be now. Reggie Evans and Grant Hill were ejected from the game during the 3rd quarter because of a tap on the ass.

Seriously? Thats what athletes do, it was a friendly athlete tap on the ass, its basically saying "Oh hey it's cool" . Apparently the referee did not take it that way and ejected the 2 players out of the game. This is just really ridiculous and too strict. I mean come on, the guys were just showing sportsmanship, it's not like they were about to go Bruce Lee on each other. The next thing you know, players on the court aren't even allowed to talk to each other or worse, they can't even look each other in the eye.

Come on ref's it's the pre-season let the guys have a little fun, if you're going to throw somebody out of game it should be at least be something as indecent as this and not some normal pat on the butt

Dwight is more of a Michaelangelo than Donatello

Very very informative video. Dwight Howard had a 1 week session with The Dream Hakeem Olajuwon during the offseason.. What do I expect from this? Well a more polished post game from Dwight. More finesse and less usage of strength.

Anyways enjoy the video!

Video: Once upon a time in London

Lakers Lamar Odom trampled on SuperCoolBeas aka Michael Beasly. Probably the only time he wasn't a beast in the game.

In other news? Darko blocked Derek Fishers Corner 3 LOL!!!

Video Credits: Thats to Phillip Barnett of Forum Blue and Gold for sharing the video.

What happens in the locker room, stays in the locker.... maybe

The Boston Celtics, where Shaq, Nate, Big Baby, and KG happens....

Now all we need is Doc Rivers doin the Dougie

Too much means, excessive... duh

When Stan Van Gundy said "ESPN is like 'All (Miami) Heat, all the time'", he wasn't kidding. ESPN will roll out an in depth editorial coverage called "The Heat Index".

As an Orlando Magic fan, this makes me REALLY bitter. Why doesn't ESPN have this kind of coverage for other teams? Lakers have been in the finals 3 times out of 3 seasons winning 2 of them, Orlando is a force to be reckoned with in the east not to mention the aged Boston Celtics.

Even with all this bitterness, ESPN runs a business and in all fairness the Miami Heat is the hottest piece of news in the NBA at the moment with the 3 of the Top 10 players playing for the same team. People will read it, people will share the story and for ESPN? Well this is what they do and this is what ESPN is for so stop hating.

Look who finally got his own skittles machine

The Candy man Lamar Odom finally gets his own Skittles Vending machine.

The man eats candy for breakfast, plays well if he eats candy, the man has an obsession with candy. If you were to ask me, I'd say every time he goes to the restroom he PROBABLY shits rainbow.

White men can't dunk? Thats not what Dwight thinks

According to an interview with JJ Redick that apparently Dwight Howard says that our boy JJ is a TOP 3 white guy dunker.

You know what? I wouldn't know. Not once have I seen JJ dunk during an NBA game and the closest dunk picture I could find is a screen cap of him dunking during his college days.

The guy is 6'4 with a 6'2 wing span. thats a -2 inches not to mention he doesn't have a crazy vertical jump either. Just looking at the picture, he seems like he's having a hard time dunking that ball. It's alright, at least theres proof that he CAN dunk, it's better than most people (like me) whose only 5'8 and most likely have a negative wingspan and has a whopping 2-3 inch vertical leap.

Kevin Garnett is a ball of energy

Kevin Garnett is a passionate person, he'll yell at you during a game, he'll yell at you while injured at the sidelines, he'll yell at you while you're in the game, hell he'll even yell at walls and posts. If he had a chance, he'd probably yell at your grandma too. So whats wrong in yelling during Media Day? Nothing, because Rajon Rondo doesn't think anything is wrong.... or so I would think

Remember this guy?

Yeah thats Tracy McGrady, I hope despite his injury riddled career you still remember the guy? This dude used to be a 2x scoring champion in 03' and '04, a 7x NBA all star. He used to be great and well I still think he is. Remember when he scored 13 pts in 33 seconds? Yeah we all know thats a classic. If you haven't seen it yet then well enjoy.

Is he a HOF? You know what, everybody has their own opinion and my opinion says, he is.

Offseason randomness starring Carmelo Anthony

I must admit, this year NBA off season must be one the most craziest. Lets give a short recap:

1. The 3 musketeers joining one team a.k.a Miami Heats Tripod of power (or disaster whichever you prefer).
2. Chris Paul demanding for a trade. (that went nowhere)
3. Dan Gilberts break up letter to Lebron. (Which is nowhere to be found anymore.)
4. The burning of LeBron's jersey in Cleveland
5. Team USA finally winning gold in the FIBA World Championship since 1994
5. And the most recent one: Carmelo Anthony Demanding for a trade.

Which by the way brings me to this Classic Carmelo Anthony video

If you've watched the 2010 NBA playoffs, then I am pretty sure you've got your share of laughs. Oh hey carmelo instead of asking for a trade to the Knicks or Bulls why not ask for a trade in utah? I mean they were playing this commercial during the 2010 playoffs against Utah IN Utah home.

Anyways I now leave you with a spoof of the commercial starring NBA's comedic bigman Kyrylo Fesenko. (you're not the only one who is special carmelo.)

The King is watching, and making a mental list.

So about 4:49 pm PST LeBron James twitted:

"Don't think for one minute that I haven't been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!"

Ooohh guys be scared, the "King" is watching every bashing, every hateful comments, every diss and taking a MENTAL NOTE of everybody. Thats pretty crazy considering there is at aleast over 100,000 people dissing Lebron.

Oh hey bron bron just so you know, what you just said is such an empty threat. What are you going to do? Sue us all?

You make me laugh. I lied, not really

First Dates

Ah the first date, one of the most memorable moments that will probably stick with you for a long time. Actually okay maybe not, that would only apply to most people and not all. Apparently I can't remember my first dates because it probably was something boring as hell like movies -> dinner -> home. I'm not exactly the most exciting person out you'll meet you know.

Anyways enough about me, lets talk about our favorite person to talk about. Who is it? Well heres a clue, about a month ago he was the most loved NBA player and in an instant he became the most hated player to this day and age. Especially those folks in cleveland, fans burning his jersey and Dan Gilberts hilarious comic sans of rage letter. Yes it is none other than LeBron James.

I recently came across this article about his Long time girlfriend Savannah Brinson, the article really didn't interest me at all. I mean come on, it's about LBJ's long time GF talking about how she doesn't like LBJ playing in miami. So as lazy as I am, I skimmed through the article and something apparently caught my attention... Yep you guessed it, it's a paragraph about their first date.

Now at this moment, my twitter have been updating like crazy because of this. Apparently there are some that are against or rather doesn't agree on the place they went to for their first date. Apparently LBJ brought her long time GF to Outback Steakhouse.

Now now now, before anybody says anything, you have to think that this was about 10 years ago. Lebron James at the time was not making millions, he was prolly around the age of 16-17 years old. The guy probably didn't even have enough money to buy condoms, and apparently in my opinion Outback has one of those crazy deal coupons that is most likely unbeatable. If you're a teen who probably don't have money to spend for dates then yes outback would be the way to go.

Yeah sure there are others who have deals like lets say, Applebees (disgusting), Chilis, Olive Garden etc but come on, you got to know that they also lived in Akron Ohio. So yes, I give you LBJ props for having a good first date. I still don't like you though lol

Now if anybody else reading this, I leave you with a question, If you were a teenager with no money where would your first date would be? My answer to that? Hell you'd even lucky to even score a Mc Donalds Cheeseburger from me, it's 7-11 for you my dear.

I keed you :)........ maybe

Add one more to Rileys Angels.

Miami Heats Tripod of power? Hell no, Dingyu calls them "Rileys Angel".

Soccer Offseason boredom?

Thanks to docfunk (via EJames Beale), I got to see this hilarious hybrid Soccer / Tennis (I prefer to call it "Sennis") match with Soccer legend and coach (or ex coach) Diego Maradona and Soccer superstar Lionel Messi. Needless to say, I was very confused......

Things you didn't/did know about SC

Ron-Ron never cease to surprise me

Thanks to Ball don't lie, I manage to learn more about Ron Artest. His favorite movie, the person who he wants to have a singing collaboration with, and a bunch more. Very interesting, he talks about his favorite jersey and what he majored on.

Watch it and I'm pretty sure you'll be surprised too.

Asian Last names

So yesterday before I got off work, I noticed this tweet by newly signed Golden State Warrior Jeremy Lin

Yeah just so you guys know, this is David Lee:

HA! just kidding, obviously they were referring to this David Lee:

No, not the guy wearing the green jersey, thats Rajon Rondo. I'm talking about the guy with the white #42 Knicks Jersey. Yes ladies and gents, thats David Lee. Whether J-Lins friend was joking around about it or not, lets not jump the gun that every person who has an Asian last name is asian.

Then again, if you think about it, it WAS funny ha ha ha! *ahem* well at least I thought it was funny. :)

Starcraft 2 oh yeay its out!

Save the date: July 27 2010.

Why?
Why would I need to save the date?
What's going to happen on 07/27/10?

Well if you're not a nerd (no offense to nerds) then you probably don't know about it. Yes it's the much anticipated release date of the ever so popular Starcraft II. WAIT WHAT? Yeah you heard me, I'm not lying to you. After nearly over 10 years of waiting (Well I have been waiting since 1998) they finally made the sequel to the game that most likely changed how RTS games are played. The game is so big that Koreans decided to make a league for it and televise it online.

I for one was one of those excited people who was waiting for it to the point where I mistakingly thought June 27 2010 was July 27 2010. Heres a little dialouge between me and the best buy employee: Me as me and BBE as Best Buy Employee

Me: *see's the pre-order paper* *asks BBE* "Hey so do you guys have any stock for Starcraft II at the moment?"

BB Employee: "You know what the game is really popular, lemme check in the back"

Me: "yeah it is, I'm pretty excited about it"

-saw the release date-
-thinks-
-Looks at my phone calendar-

Me: *thinking* "Oh its only June, wow I feel stupid"

-Plays it off and walk away slowly to the PS3 Section-

Needless to say, I felt really stupid. I bet the Best Buy Employee felt the same way for actually going to the back and checking if they have stock.

Now, now, now that I showed you how stupid I felt, theres an article I saw on my facebook feed (Link c/o joe) about this asian dating guru saying that, "you should steer clear away from SC II). His reason? It destroys your social life. You know honestly, thats pretty obvious. I mean look at all the socially deprived people who play World of Warcraft (I was one at one point, I swear it was like crack). It really depends on a person whether they will let the video game take over their life. It's really not the games fault, I mean if you have a little bit of common sense you'll eventually realize that "Oh hey I should go out and mingle, maybe I'll get laid.". Sorry to say but Starcraft won't get you laid unless you're a pro-gamer from korea, okay I don't have a source for that but thats what it seems like.

So yes, I totally disagree with the whole "You should spend your 60 dollars on a date or a social life" BS. Because well, 60 bucks really don't get you much anyways.

P.S.

I thought Larissa Riquelme is hot. I'd spend 60 bucks on that pair of Paraguay piece of ass.

Asian Sensation Jeremy Lin

Okay maybe it's too early to call Jeremy Lin an "Asian Sensation" but apparently there has been some buzz about him signing a contract with the Golden State Warriors. I've never really seen this kid play but seeing his stats during his years at Harvard, this kid knows how to ball. During his last year in Harvard he shot over 50% and 34% at the 3 ball area along with 16.4 PPG, 4.4 Rebounds, 4.4 Assist, 2.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. Even though his Summer League stats aren't as close as when he played in college thats pretty much expected so I don't really wanna put that down on him.

Now there are some talks out there in the blogosphere that it could be that because of his racial background that he was being scouted by the LA Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks. Knowing that LA, GSW and Dallas (never been to dallas so not sure about this one) has a big asian fanbase, I really believe that it's not because of his race why these three teams were interested in wanted to sign him. The kid got game and I'm sure scouts have seen that this kid got potential to be in the pros. Sure his match up with John Wall (most likely) boosted his popularity, his athleticism, his defense, the way he attacks the basket played a role in why these 3 teams wanted him. All in all I'm glad that this undrafted kid is given a shot at the pros and I will definitely be watching.

Now if he were to sign with GSW what could he bring to the backcourt of the warriors? Well one thing is that GSW needs the depth. With C.J. Watson signing with chicago GSW is definitely lacking that backup for their 2 backcourt stars Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry. He would also would be a good fit in Don Nelsons run and gun offense. As far as I saw during his Summer League highlights is that he loves to run that ball. Penetrating to the offense, run and pass to the open man, etc...

PS

No he is not going to be a Sun Yue 2.0, one thing for sure is that Jeremy Lin speaks english better than him lmao

Tracy Mc Gravy to the clips?

I know this is a bit late of a post but I was in Las Vegas during the time this was news. The LA Clippers are showing a bit of interest to Tracy McGrady. Yes the injury prone T-Mac that most of us all loved.

I'm sure if he does sign with the clippers A LOT of people will think it's a bad move. To me I think it's a great idea as long as he does not sign for a long term contract. 1-2 years and a little less than MLE should be fine for this 7 time all star. What could he bring to the clippers? Versatility, star quality player for cheap (when healthy) and a guy whose not scared to take over a game if things go wrong for the clippers. Sure he's not the same guy that he used to be (like his cousin vince carter) but if clips do get him for cheap it'll definitely be a low risk high reward guy. Think of it as playing Paigow Poker where most of the time you either push and not lose much besides the fortune. Okay maybe that was a bad analogy.

Guess whose planning on coming BACK!!!

YEAH BOOOOOYYY!!!! July 18th is Penny's 39th birthday and he was on blog talk radio talking about a bunch of crap that I missed lol. What I didn't miss though is that:

HE PLANS ON COMING BACK TO PLAY IN THE NBA!

You don't understand how excited I feel about this. I've watched this guy during his glory days, during the days of his dispute with orlando, and his "falling from grace" days. I don't care whether he plays very minimum minutes, I just want to see him play again. I grew up idolizing penny and always wanted to play like him.

He didn't say which team he plans on playing, but if I was to guess it would be Miami. I REALLY hope that somebody signs him and gives him a shot again.

Orlando's pretty boy... Michael Pietrus

Just kidding, no we are not going to talk about "Air France". If you're an Orlando Magic fan you should be able to pinpoint who I am talking about. Yes, it's JJ Redick. The Orlando Magic role player whose a good knock down shooter, not a great defender but not a liability on the defense either, and well he's become a decent play maker (Which most of you will probably question this). He's not your typical 2 guard that'll break the defense with his ball handling skills but can definitely make shots for himself off the dribble. He shines mostly on pick and rolls, spot up catch-and-shoot plays, and coming off the screen jumpers. Defensively he's the type to run around with his man (as shown during the 2010 ECF against boston) harassing him where ever he goes. Given that he might not be the greatest 2 guard defender (becuase of his physical limitations) he boast great basketball IQ and dedication.

Now comes the dilemma, JJ Redick is a restricted free agent this year and about a few days ago Chicago offered JJ to a 19mil 3 year contract, reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! sports.
Now Orlando has about 2 days from today to match that offer by Chicago or JJ will walk. To be honest, Redick as it stands can definitely be a starter on any championship caliber team or any team for that matter. It would be very dumb of Otis to let JJ walk away and would definitely give orlando less depth and a lot of people will PROBABLY disagree with me but I really do think JJ is worth that 20mil. So Otis please don't disappoint us and bring Redick back to orlando, in the long run he'll be a much better player than that overrated all star who chokes during crunch time...

Southbeach bringin' the HEAT, uh

Party in the city where the HEAT is on
All night on the beach till the break of dawn
Welcome to Miami (bienvenido a miami)
Bouncing in the club where the HEAT is on
All night on the beach till the break of dawn
I'm going to Miami

That’s what LeBron James was probably singing when he made his career decision to go and play with Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. Yup you heard it right, he’s joining the Miami Heat to build an empire. To better visualize on how it’s going to be here is a picture I made (I can only use MS paint, photoshop is too complicated) to give you guys a better understanding on what kind of trio they would become.

Some people on twitter already gave them nicknames such as "Miami Thrice", "Miami Power Rangers", "Miami cHEAT", "Miami 3:16"(Wade wearing #3, Bosh wearing #1 Bron wearing #6) and others that I can't remember even if my life depended on it.

So what does it mean for the Heat? Well it definitely means lots of championships in the upcoming seasons. They'll definitely be the team to beat in the east. What does this mean for my Orlando Magic? harder competition in the southeast division. If Orlando wants to win the chip, definitely this year should be the year. Then again with all the moves Pat Riley is doing, they might already start their Championship run this year... Only time will tell, yes I know that was pretty cliché.

Since I'm lazy my post on Cleveland/Miami Power Rangers/Southeast Division will be a little delayed not to mention I wanna write it in Comic Sans to honor Dan Gilberts anger towards Lebrocalypse but apparently Blogger/Blogspot don't have the font so I'll have to think of a way to do it differently.

Chris Wade - Dwyane Bosh

Years and years we've seen those Dynamic Duo in the NBA and it's always been fun to watch them play. With the announcement of Dwyane Wade, it is now verbally official that Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will be playing together in miami.

So the thing is, the Miami Heat currently only have 4 players on their roster (Including Bosh and Wade)

1. Michael Beasely
2. Mario Chalmers
3. D-Wade
4. C-Bosh

Now with a projected 2010-2011 salary cap of 56.1m and with 2 max contracts coming up along with Beasely and Chalmers contract, they really don't have a lot to spend with for the remaining roster spots.

Miami heat is, well, lacking a Center, and a whole Bench. If I did my math right, they would roughly have 16m left to spend on a Center and a Bench. Really 16mil? Yeah apparently thats not much to work around with to be honest. Oh did I mention theres about 11 roster spots to fill? yeah exactly right

All in all, I'm pretty happy for Miami to land 2 all-stars but what comes after this is a brain twister but nevertheless it'll be really exciting to watch Bosh and Wade play together... EVEN IF they never win a championship together... (Then again I really have no idea what Heat fans thinks about this in the long run maybe its a good thing.)

In other news,

Kevin Durant (The guy who won the scoring title last year and led the Thunder to its very first playoff birth in which they sent the lakers in 6 games) just signed a 5 year 85mil extension with no opt out with the Oklahoma City Thunder AND he did it on twitter. You now became my 2nd favorite player in the NBA KD, and you have my respect, good job!

Lebron James finally made a decision

No it's not about the free agency, (god if I had to take a shot of soju for every mention of "Free Agency" and "LeBron James" I'd probably be in the hospital for alcohol poisoning.) he finally made a twitter account. According to a CNN article his publicist Keith Estabrook confirmed that it was indeed LBJ who made the account.

My top guesses on his first tweet

1. What's for lunch
2. I'm resigning with the Cleveland Cavaliers GOTCHA!
3. Oh hey you remember that dance I did during the blow out game in... pause
4. What's for dinner
5. Done with gym
6. Sorry @ChrisBosh I'm not playing with you, I rather play with @amareisreal
7. @ChrisBosh would I look cute if I grew out my hair and braid it??
8. @the_real_shaq why do you have more followers than me? I own the media and the world.

Apparently none of guesses are right and here is his first tweet:

"Hello World, the Real King James is in the Building "Finally". My Brother @oneandonlycp3 gas'd me up to jump on board so I'm here. Haaaa"

Oh well can you please give us an answer now on where you will be playing? Oh and yes people did give you the nickname "King" but really? really Lebron? Wooo damn you need to pop that ego really quick, just a suggestion.

Free Agency and other.... pausee

July 1 2010.. To normal people, July 1 2010 would mean its a thursday, To the Japanese it means Ayumi Hamasaki's song "July 1st", In canada it would mean "Canada Day" but to NBA teams, NBA players, NBA fans and all them wacky media it would mean the most hyped, craziest, wackiest Free Agency.

The end.... Lol just kidding

Hey did you know Megan Fox got married? Yeah I know right..

Oh yeah right Free Agency, ANYWAYS I'm really not going to talk about "why did this" and "why did he decided to opt out of his contract" or "this team needs to pick up "insert appropriate FA here"" instead I am going to make uneducated guesses on where these marquee FA's will end up with.

Lets list the teams that actually have money to spend for Free Agency. (because i am lazy I'm not going to list on how much each team has. Nor am I going to list all the teams that have money lol just the guys who can afford at least 1 Max Contract)

- Miami Heat
- Chicago Bulls
- New Jersey Nets
- New York Knicks
- LA Clippers
- Elin Woods (Oh okay maybe not but she did get 750m from the divorce. Thats enough to sign LBJ, Bosh, Wade, Joe Johnson)

Now the list of notable (in my opinion, I really don't want to go all out on this.) FA

- LeBron James
- Chris Bosh
- Dwayne Wade
- Joe Johnson
- Paul Pierce (Opted out of his contract)
- Dirk Nowitzki (Opted out of his contract)
- Amar'e Stoudamire (Opted out of his contract)
- Ray Allen
- David Lee
- Carlos Boozer
- Rudy Gay

Lebron James

Lets start with the guy whose like the Microsoft of the NBA, Lebron James. I'm not going to make any educated guesses but I'm going to say come July 1 he'll say "Oh Just kidding! I'm resigning with Cleveland Ha ha ha GOTCHA!"

Final Verdict: Chicago Bulls

Chris Bosh

Ahh Chris Bosh, the guy who said he don't want to be a "SideKick" but apparently rumor has it that he'll play with D-Wade on the Heat. Good Job Robin.

Final Verdict - Miami Heat

Dwayne Wade

Dwayne Wade, the man without teammates unfortunately. We already know he's not going anywhere but we also know that next season he's probably going to have new teammates since well Miami shredded everybody besides Michael Beasely (because nobody wants him).

Final Verdict: Miami Heat

Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, he played horrible during the 2010 NBA playoffs, dissed the ATL Hawks fans, and got boo'ed AND YET Atlanta Hawks wants to give him a 6 year Max deal. The Hawks are as crazy as those Wacky Inflatable arm flailing tube man. I laugh lol

Final Verdict - You be retarded if you don't take the 6 year max deal offer. Atlanta Hawks

Paul Pierce

This fool, I hate this guy, I hate this guy to the core. This fucker is such a drama queen. Flops as much as a Fish (no not Derek Fisher, okay maybe Derek Fisher). I was pretty surprised that he opted out of his contract but I did read something about Danny Ainge saying that he might not come back next season. Then again Doc Rivers did say that he was coming back next season to coach so that might play a part in Pierce coming back to the Celtics.

Final Verdict - Boston Celtics

Dirk Nowitzki

Dirk Nowitzki, like Paul Pierce, this guy has been in one team since the start of his career. I can't say much about the guy besides he shoots A LOT better when he is guarded.

Final Verdict - Mark Cuban will cough up the money on whatever demands he wants. 6 Playstations in 6 different rooms in a mansion as big as Disneyland, who cares Cuban will definitely get whatever he wants. He stays as Dallas Maverick

Amar'e Stoudamire

This guy is Amar'e Stoudamire, the guy who dazes around during defensive plays. To be honest I can't see this guy playing with anybody besides Steve Nash.

Final Verdict - He pulls a surprise and signs with Chicago Bulls

Ray Allen

Ray Allen aka Jesus ShuttlesWorth. This guy has a very very lethal jumper. Like I said on my first post, you cannot leave this guy open. This guy broke the record for number of made 3 ball in a finals game with 8. I don't know what else to say about this guy besides, if his jump shot was a chick, I would definitely hit it... I'd hit it hard.

Final Verdict - With Doc Rivers back, he will sign with the Boston Celtics. I would of said Miami Heat at first but Doc Rivers coming back just changes all that.

David Lee

David Lee, I really can't say much about this guy. I don't really watch New York Knicks game but yes I do know he pretty good. lol

Final Verdict - I really want to see him in Blue and Orange. No not the New York Knicks but the Oklahoma City Thunder

Carlos Boozer

Carlos Boozer, the guy who has more wrinkles on his head than the edge of your elbow lol. I don't follow him much but I know that he has his days when he becomes a walking double double.

Final Verdict - Brooklyn/New Jersey Nets

Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay, a scoring wingman. Young but still has a lot to learn. Uh so yeah, I don't watch a lot of Memphis games...

Final Verdict - one word: KAAAAAHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN... By the way if he goes to Minnesota that would mean Rudy Gay, Kevin Love, Ramon Session trio.

Anyways yeah thats my guesses on where they will end up. None of this I gave any deep thought and it was purely on guesses lol. Although I do know that I probably will get AT LEAST 1 right because I'm cool like that

I get excited over..

Twitter... Ah yes it's twitter, that lil social networking giant that rivals Facebook, Myspace and those other social networking website that's not named Facebook or myspace. It's that lil giant where Celebrities, Athletes and hell even politicians use.

I used to think twitter was pretty lame, yes I was the one of those who would swear never to have a twitter but apparently it became like a drug where I have to tweet about the latest stuff that goes on in the twitter world. Although 1 particular reasons why I joined twitter is because of the NBA.

A lot of NBA players uses twitter(heres a list via The No Look Pass most use them as a way to post their blogs, tell what they're doing, and most of all connect with their fans. Which by the way brings me to my happiness.

Yes I do get excited over random replies from these athletes. It's probably the closest we can get to talking to them. Here are some of the replies I've got from these guys that I follow

"Charles Oakley will come to your house and beat you up unless you stop talking about Free Agency"

So out of bored I replied to Charles by saying

"Free Agency.... #PleaseDontHurtMe"

and he replies "HA I'm cool" - Yes its a short reply but hey I dig it lol.

Another one was, well from JJ Redick.

I really don't remember greeting him on his birthday but I do remember saying:

"It's JJ Redicks birthday and @ladyballers haven't greeted him."

Oh and well JJ Redick said "Thank you" anyway.

Last but not least: (This made me laugh so hard)

Little background story - I have a hard time growing facial hair. Apparently his teammate James Harden have an epic beard so it hit me to ask:

"have you ever thought of growing a beard like james harden?" - his answer: "been trying since birth".

No really it's alright KD, I've been trying since birth too just that I probably have it worse than you because I grow mine in strands...

So yes, if you're an NBA fan at least give twitter a try, you might enjoy it not just because of the athletes but also because of random play by play twitter comments thats pretty hilarious.

I leave you now with probably the most funniest guy on twitter:

"In game two of finals I had to take a shit in the fourth quarter But I didn't know how to tell Phil Jackson"

Steering away from NBA Free Agency frenzy

So I just realized that this blog was SUPPOSE to be about randomness and not just about the NBA. Apparently that was not the case, my first 6 post was about the NBA (I did make the blog in the middle of the NBA Finals).

Though with all these NBA Off season frenzy there's just way too much to take in at the moment. Although to those of you really following ALL of it here's an article by Ken Berger (heh... berger) talking about a "few" speculations about where will these NBA FA's going to end up.

Here are others whose made their share of speculation:
- ProBasketBallTalk: Here

There are others but I'll just add on to it next time

Now time to Switch gears,

Korea Air and Starcraft 2 "Wings of Liberty"

Yes it's that RTS (Real Time Strategy) game that basically changed how RTS games are played. It's that game that turned teenagers "Night life" into a "Sorry guys I can't go clubbing, I need to practice my bisu build".

To all that didn't know, apparently Starcraft became a sport in Korea where the "Pro" Players would duke it out in their respective leagues MSL, OSL, etc... It's like the World Cup without the vuvuzelas!

Now to Commemorate the release of SC II apparently Korean Airlines painted 2 of their planes with the starcraft logo and one of the Main Characters Jim Raynor.

So now the question would be, did Korean Air pay Blizzard to have them advertise SC II on their plane so that they can attract the younger group of Teens to ride their plane or did Blizzard pay Korean Air to advertise on their plane to gain more popularity to an already popular game.

In Other news, no sir I have not pre-ordered my copy yet. lol

Orlando magic tittle-tattle.

So there have been numerous trade rumors but 2 of them caught my attention, 1 - A potential trade / swap of 2 all star players and 2 - A trade deal that could send the best PG in the league to orlando

Rumor #1

Yes it's the Vince "I died in 2001" Carter and "Agent 0" Gilbert "Injury/Issue plagued" Arenas rumor trade. So let me ask you this, which player would you prefer if this rumor were to happen? Would you rather have a Vince Carter who chokes during crunch time, a Carter who (I would think) lost his "ooomph", a Carter who isn't as reliable as he used to be or would you rather have Gilbert Arenas who was injury plagued for 2-3 seasons and when he actually got back to playing he got suspended for the rest of the season.

I'll be totally honest with you, if this WERE to happen I'd take Arenas over VC. I'm totally ignoring the fact that yes if this does happen Orlando would owe Arenas around 60mil over the next 3 years. I'm not that much of a hardcore fan to follow how much they get paid and stuff like that so I'm making my decision on whose the more reliable out of the 2.

So lets see, for one thing is that Arenas is well significantly younger than VC. From what I've seen from VC is that he just doesn't play like he used to. He used to be the type of players who would try and get to the line. The VC we see now is slow, settles for too much jumpers and well, the dynamic Vince Carter we all knew at one time has died.

On the other hand we have Gilbert Arenas, an explosive(if healthy) combo guard. The guy is basically a hybrid PG leaning more towards a scoring PG. He can pass, make shots for others, find open players. I believe he could really work well with SVG's 4 out 1 in offensive system. I'm really not going to go in depth with Gilbert since well to be honest I really haven't seen him play as much as the others but all I can say is that, given that Arenas is not injured, he can be a great compliment for Dwight Howard, lil meer, and the rest of the Orlando Magic.

Yes it's that Chris Paul rumor again, and yes apparently there was some chit chat going around the league about Otis Smith trying to make a deal with NOH to grab (arguably) the best Point Guard in the league.

Now if this happens, I might end up being one of the most happiest guy in the world despite losing Lil meer (who cares about Vince I wanted him gone anyway). What could Chris Paul bring to the Orlando Magic? A bunch of CP3 - D12 alley-oops, a championship (maybe), and just a whole lot of Chris Paul greatness. I mean we are talking about Chris Paul here! Young, Athletic, Great Defender, Great Passer, a possible future HOF (yes I called it). If you don't know who Chris Paul is, you're missing out. Here watch this highlight video of him. Chris Paul Career Highlights

Then again it's all rumor and according to VP of the Hornets Hugh Weber in this radio show (via LSUhornet17) that Chris Paul is NOT up for trade and the Hornets are building around him. I mean I wouldn't be surprised though, even with the emergence of their rookie Darren Collison (who btw is another PG who filled in for the injured CP3) you cannot just trade away your franchise player. As much as I would want him to play for Orlando this rumor is coming true is like me getting drafted as the first pick in next years draft class.

Everybody wants to be a Laker

So now that the Laker have won back to back championship under the Pau and Kobe Regime, seems like everybody now wants to be a laker. According to sources/rumors Tracy McGrady the perennial all star who could've been one of the leagues top athletes (if not injured) wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. To be honest I could really careless if he does play for the lakers. Good for the lakers, T-Mac despite being injured all the time still has a lil bit of game in him (I mean he was regarded as one of the top players back in the days) and can definitely spark quality minutes off the bench.

Now on the other hand Chris Bosh, being one of the top 5 free agents in the market never really said anything direct (he did give a list of 5 teams you know) that he would like to sign with the lakers but hey, seeing him in laker games does raise suspicions of him wanting to play for LA that and I believe this LA team can run for at least 1 more title because well Phil Jackson do win his championships in batches of 3.

So now lets say all that pans out and T-Mac(MLE/Paycut) and Chris Bosh(Sign and Trade for Andrew Bynum) plays for LA, wont this remind you of that star studded Laker Roster of 2003-2004? You know that team that lost in the NBA Finals against the Detroit Pistons, yeah that team. The team that sported:

Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, Gary Payton an all star cast which lost to detroit 4-1. I just think that too much "stars" can't always be something good for a team, then again that loss against detroit phil already had his three peat so this time around it might be different.
